My name is Michael “Moe” O’Donovan and I am the Junior Warden and Chairman of the Masonic Education and Mentoring Committee at Brownstone Lodge Number 666 in Hershey, Pennsylvania, USA. Our Lodges are Constituted in numerical order based on the year and order created. Brownstone Lodge was constituted in 1910. Ephrata Lodge in Ephrata, Pennsylvania was constituted the same year but earlier than Brownstone. It’s number is 665. We believe the number 666 was used not only to maintain the numbering system on place, but to emphasize the 666 is just a number and that Freemasonry is not a religion. Further, it is also believed that the number 666 in the Book of Revelations was actually code for the Emperor Nero who was persecuting Christians tat the time. “Go Brandon” so to speak.
