Didn’t want to write this as not to sound mean but glad others feel this way. Very awkward interviews, juvenile questions, and the way the hosts speak is just audibly unbearable.

This guy love Book Club Girl
So glad I found this podcast I have read more than a few books they have talked about I haven’t been disappointed.

    Great with one serious concern
I’ve enjoyed listening to some of your episodes about books that I have read. But I am I am writing respectfully to ask you to relisten to what you say to each other. Perhaps you can train yourselves to begin to omit the phrase, “ sort of” which appears endlessly. It’s quite distracting and makes you both sound so much less intelligent than you obviously are. I am writing this in the spirit of being helpful. Otherwise keep up the good work.

I’d love to be able to listen to this podcast but it’s like listening to a show hosted by Paris Hilton clones. Research has been done-speaking this way is a choice. Make better choices ladies.

    Variety
I appreciate the variety of books you cover - makes me broaden my range of books that I read and want to read!

    Very annoying
I had such high hopes but I can’t listen to their voices. The hosts sound and behave like high schoolers. The books and authors are great - why can’t the hosts meet them with the same sophistication?

I am loving this podcast! Lately it’s seemed a struggle to find books that kept me engaged. I just told ten friends about this podcast. Keep up the great work.

    Awesome Book Club
I really enjoy this podcast. I was exposed to it when the ladies reviewed a book by Karin Slaughter. She is one of my top three Authors. I really like the style of there interviews. I like when they ask the Author the final question after the interview. I have been exposed to some very interesting books from the podcast. Keep up the Great work Ladies!

    Old Lady Book Club Girl
I had been receiving Book Club Girl emails for some time before I decided to try the podcast. Imagine my surprise to find out how young the “Girls” are considering that I’m 70 and we read the same books! The formula for the episodes is perfect: synopsis, interview with questions and an audio excerpt. The Girls are excellent reviewers and are careful not to give away spoilers. They don’t put themselves too much into their interviews, but let the authors take the lead and say what they want to about their books. And the audio excerpt usually sells me on the book. One bit of constructive criticism—the *t* in often is silent. 😁

    Happy First year
This has been a delightful year of hearing from all the authors and getting some great book ideas. As far as your ‘white whales’ I hope you both overcome your adversion as both The Nightingale and The Gentleman in Moscow are great reads.

From a male book club girl
Yes I am a guy but I love to read. This is one my favorite podcasts. I love the fact that you pick such a wide variety of different books. And it’s fun to hear the authors speak to us about them. I am very glad to be one of the book club “girls”! Patrick

    I love this podcast!
This is the first, and only, podcast that I have listened to. Eliza and Tavia have each episode divided into personal discussion, discussion with the author, and then a little audio sampler. Great books, great vibes! They have become my walking buddies to help the miles go by!

Fun, engaging, books that you want to read and listen to! Can’t wait to get my hands on Mother May I!

    Book Lover
I normally do not write reviews but just wanted to let you both know that I really enjoy your podcast. There’s a “likeability” factor at play here, pleasant voices and most importantly great books and interesting, intelligent questions! I have to admit I do look forward to everyone’s literary white whale answers. Thank you!

    Love the Book Titles
However you ladies sound like a bunch of middle school girls! I just can’t listen because of that!!

    Love you, love books!
I have spent these difficult time sewing masks and listening to pod casts. Attending Book Club Girls Nights Out was one of my favorite things to. I can’t wait to go to them again. Thank you, for this podcast. It is top on my list !!

    Not preachy, just real
Just found this podcast when listening to a Satellite Sisters podcast. Subscribed right away cuz the 'casters sound smart, non apologetic for their opinions, and introduce us to cool reads without being overly grand and show-offie as to their literary prowess. You can tell they are full of thought and conscientious readers looking out for those of us searching for varied literature.

This is one of my favorite book podcasts!
I love this podcast for many reasons. The interviews with the authors offer me an insight of what their writing process was like which makes me appreciate their book a little more. Both hosts are knowledgeable and their questions are always on point. I love their selection of books. I’ve either read them or they’ve been bumped to the top of my TBR list. Thank you for giving me something fun and interesting to listen to on my way to work 😊

Smart, Well-Done and ONLY if You’ve Read the Book
Love this podcast — it Is exactly what I want every book club I’ve ever been a part of — smart, well-reasoned and people who have READ the book. Love the audiobook sample at the end — good added bonus. But don’t listen unless you’ve read the book. My warning!

    fizzy and smart
This new book club podcast has a great, loose, fun vibe but is also really smart and perceptive. The hosts have an easy, natural rapport with this author and I expect more good entries. Especially excited to hear Lou Berney, who is a rising thriller star. Keep up the good work!

A great introduction to a new read
I like the format - it really feels like a book club on the day an author stops by. I also liked the sample of the audiobook at the end.

My book club has been a fan for many years. It’s great that we can add a podcast element to our monthly book talks!
