Evan is the man

Very good show, Evan is a real Mets fan who is also a reasonable fan, gives his opinions backed by solid reasoning but also admits and willing to listen to other views. The co host is the worst of any Met fan, it’s like you took every bad Met take, ever overreacting Met fan, and just overall nonsense opinions.

Ads keep popping up in the middle of someone’s sentence. I can’t. Incredibly annoying. Which is disappointing because otherwise it’s a fun and informative show.

Love your show. I’ve listened to most Mets podcasts, but this was is by far the best.

I love the podcast! However, when Evan talks to a pro athlete and continually says ‘us/we’ when taking about the Mets, you sound like a weirdo. You were never on the Mets! Other than that, great pod.

Been a fan of Evan for decades. This pod is required listening for any Mets fan.

Evan, you guys have such great content! The sound quality is unbearable, though. Maybe Pete can mute when you’re talking?? All your hard work is being lost to what could be a simple fix. I’d be happy to share how I’ve made things sound better on my podcast, if it would helpful. Love the Mets. Love your takes on the Mets. Don’t love the audio quality.

I enjoy the show and Evan Roberts has always been one of my favorite WFAN hosts but the podcast is sadly lacking in the technology department. The commercials during the podcast are three to five louder than the actual content, which necessitates constant adjustments to the volume dial on my car radio. Worse than that, Pete Hoffman’s feed is regulated by a limiter with a slow release time, that allows the first word or two from his lips being overmodulated and annoyingly loud, and then, once the limiter kicks in, he is barely audible. This was heard to great effect on the “cough, sneeze and belch” podcast where every gastric utterance from Hoffman sounded like an amplified sewer backing up, because there wasn’t enough time for the limiter to do its thing.

I enjoy the Rico but it makes me crazy that I regularly start playing an episode to soon find out it’s just a snippet of an old one. This makes me crazy. Either only post the new ones or figure out a way to signify it’s a snippet from a previous episode…

Evan Roberts is a super smart Mets fan a that uses stats and facts to support an argument, and he pulls no punches when it comes to our favorite baseball team. Great, entertaining listen, including some input from Pete Hoffman. He’s quite a character himself and adds some good perspective and humor.

Best consistent Mets podcast I listen to! Always my first listen for Mets news and deep dives!

It’s great to hear Evan and Pete just focus on the Mets instead of listening to the radio program where they cover all the other sports. This episode with Adam Wainwright is incredible! Well done men.

Its real but also has a great fans perspective.

I would say this is the best Mets pod out there. Some times a bit redundant, and could benefit from the occasional guest host. Evan and Hoff are solid together. Hof does tend to agree with Evan a lot which doesn’t make for a great back and forth. Evan is solid here and reminds me of his days with Beningo. Not the biggest fan of him on his afternoon gig with Carton, but I understand they are catering to a different audience. Hoff is also solid here. I understand he’s more of a producer, but I think the show would benefit if he was allocated a bit more time. Also, if he occasionally had a different opinion from Ev that would be nice too. All in all a consistently solid pod.

This podcast are for true Mets fans! LFGM!

I listen to a lot of great Met podcasts but in my opinion as a lifelong Met fan “The Rico..” is by far the best one! Evan gives well thought out analysis about our beloved Mets. Evan and Pete work great together and give insightful commentary with just enough fanboy emotion. It’s a great find and should be part of any Met fan’s podcast lineup.

Evan seems like a busy guys but seems to get these pods out super fast when Mets news breaks. Thoughtful and very talented on air, he is a real pro.

Evan is great so glad he and the hoff do this podcast. I appreciate that Evan is a history buff and enjoy those references a lot but I would appreciate if he’d stop mentioning that he gets his news alerts from the poison that is Fox News (I say that as an ex-Fox Employee who worked on Fox News stuff).

Really enjoy this and look forward to it each week. Evan and Pete do a tremendous job on this. It’s a nice balance between podcast Evan and Evan with Craig.

My little sister had a crush on Rico Brogna in the mid 90’s so i sent the podcast to her as joke without listening to it. She called me to tell me it was great and Evan rants like me. I listened and was hooked. I’d consider it more entertainment than anything else but it’s great to celebrate and commiserate with a fellow diehard.

I am thoroughly enjoying the Rico podcast. It is informative and it’s great to hear Evan just talk baseball. Pete is good also and provides a nice balance. Evan is unable to talk as much baseball with craig so this is a good outlet. This is. A must listen for die hard met fans
