Very informational, nice to listen, to too much profanity, could have a little more faith

Good information about the ag business, overall, and specifically the hog business. Can be a good listen. Only negative is amount of profanity. Flows a bit too freely.

You guys do a great job of getting guests who are smart, entertaining and have something to challenge you with and get you thinking! I’ve worked with many engineers in my life and you could always tell the ones that grew up on farms or ranches! They’d look at the problem, understand the problem and solve the problem! No drama!! I know that the farm tourism thing has Sawyer thinking. Here’s a hint Sawyer, keep your prices low and give a free box of Farmer Grade meat with every visit! You won’t BELIEVE how many visitors you’ll have!!

My dream is to be on your show talking shop and at the end we would have a whiskey minute!

Barn Talk is one of the few podcast I consistently listen too and I’ve been listening for a few years now! I grew up in Wisconsin which is farm country so hearing them talk about life on the farm reminds me of home and the biggest reason why I love this podcast is the dad who is a cohost! I lost my dad a few years ago and listening to him and his interaction with his son helps me go through life without my dad! Keep up the good work fellas!

Are there plans for the future that we see farmer grade cooking episodes? I’d love to see some new creative ways I can prepare pork cuts, and you guys are awesome keep crushing

As someone from a family that has farming ties in Eastern Iowa since the early 1900s not too far away from you guys this podcast really rings home. Love what you guys are doing for the state of Iowa, and the support you show for young folks joining Ag. Awesome work, keep it up fellas

Listened to the last Q&A Podcast. In regards to Regen Ag not answering the question, “Is regenerative ag sustainable?”. Will Harris was on the “Meateater Podcast” and was posed that question. I’m going to butcher this, but in a round-about way, he said it could not feed the world, and that the American farmer should worry about feeding all of America first. I agree, it is nice for us to have options and people should buy what they want.

Love listening to you guys! It’s nice to hear other young farmers talk about the issues and the future.

Good example of rural American folks speaking their minds. Good discussions about agriculture, business, and life from the perspective of farmers. From south Ga and thoroughly enjoy listening to this podcast every time a new episode pops up.

Hey guys, I just wanted to let you know that I think at your core, the content is great. It’s the kind of stuff that I want to hear about and get insight. My main reason for not rating higher is the sheer amount of foul language. Especially on one episode that I listened to that did not have the “E “on the label. I am very aware of our First Amendment rights and I am a devout supporter of our constitution. I just think the almost obnoxious use of foul language was just too much. I understand the use of a word to put dramatic emphasis on something, but just to say it over and over and over and over again was too much.

Growing up on a pig grower & corn/soybean family farm, unlike my older brother, I didn’t necessarily gravitate much toward it. Now being almost 40 years old, I’ve recently moved back home from living out of state for a handful of years and find myself with a growing appreciation for the farm’s 6-generation legacy, as well as a growing passion to learn the family business and get more involved. Your podcast has helped fuel this as of late, which I thank you for. I love listening to the perspectives of your 2 generations! The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is simply because on some episodes, the profanity reaches a level where I could do without it personally. But overall, you guys are doing great. Keep it up!

Great show, talking about real world issues, with a real world view!! We have commercial poultry houses in northeast Texas and I find a lot of similarities in what you talk about with your hog barns. 😊

Love this show! This father and son duo are awesome, witty, and very knowledgeable about anything farm related. I love how they have various guests on and share various perspectives from people who have a connection to the agriculture community. I also really enjoy how they will talk about other stuff going on in the world other than just farming, their political views and their opinions on all the various issues going on in the world. It is by far my favorite farm show and I would recommend it to anyone who is interested in farming or works on a farm.

It’s awesome that even though their father and son the view points can differ and they talk about them. Plus a job well done on being ag based but discussing all topics!

Absolutely love this pod cast, growing up as a farmers daughter in the Midwest I really relate to a lot of these topics. I really enjoy hearing about the politics and harsh topics related to ag as well.

5 stars at first but constant nagging of politics made the show far less enjoyable.

Listen to Barn Talk while driving on longer trips or working from home Love the variety of the talk and guests Had the cheesy pork baconator patties from Farmer Grade the other night!! Wonderful. Need to order some more soon!!
