My face lights up every time a new episode from Ru Palps Podrace hits my feed. I knew these goofballs individually from TikTok and they are even funnier and wittier together!

I know that other reviewers have said that this is a podcast meant for the hardcore Star Wars nerds, but I am someone who watched the movies (+ the mandoverse) for the first time this year, have never seen the clone wars or rebels, and have never read a single Star Wars book or comic, and I cannot get enough of this podcast. i have taken to listening to TBB recaps during my commute to work and even though TBB is a show I have not and do not plan to watch, their commentary is truly just so funny and engaging that it keeps me entertained all episode. if you love podcasts where the vibe is just friends having fun and hanging out, this is the podcast for you. the only downside is that there are now so many Star Wars characters that I know exclusively through this podcast and Im sure I have a very skewed understanding of what they are like, but frankly I like it that way. long live nb lesbian hunter.

This is one of my favorite podcasts to listen to! However, it’s for a very specific audience: You HAVE to be a Star Wars nerd in order to enjoy and also be queer. Which the title suggests, of course, I doubt you’d be reading the review if you were neither, but you won’t enjoy unless you are both of those. If you’re not a Star Wars nerd you won’t understand what’s going on, and being queer is extremely important to understanding their sense of humor. Their sense of humor isn’t for everyone. Make sure you’ve watched the various shows (Rebels, Clone Wars, etc.) before starting as there are spoilers! The podcasters also talk a lot about the various books, comics, video games and other media in Star Wars. Some segments may be a bit confusing if you haven’t read/listened to additional media, particularly the Rogue One(s) days where they focus in on a set of books, video games, etc. If you want recommendations for where to start with the Star Wars novels and other additional media, this is the place to go. The usual format of an episode is the first part of the episode (takes up around 2/3 of the total time) is spent discussing either whatever new Star Wars content came out that week (such as each episode of Bad Batch, Star Wars Visions, etc.) or another theme if nothing was released that week. The last third of the episode they have recurring segments that usually involve some sort of game. My favorite is “Name That Ship!”, where they find cursed fanfiction with strange ships and we have to guess who the Star Wars characters are that are shipped together. It is usually HORRIFYINGLY funny. 10/10 would recommend.

This has been my go-to pod for a awhile now. The fun hosts and the happy-go-lucky attitude will make you laugh so kriff’n hard. They cover books, comics, shows, and of course the movies. Enjoying every detail of Star War. Especially Chanel Boots Skywalker.

the best podcast ever. all the segments are hilarious and it’s my favorite thing to listen to when walking across campus or driving in the car. so excited for rupalp’s book of boba fett era because i just know it will be fantastic!

So glad I found this show! I haven’t even had a chance to watch The Bad Batch yet, but I started the first ep of this podcast and had so much fun listening I said who cares about spoilers and listened through each one. Fun, funny, and insightful queer Star Wars content 🙏🏼 it’s a 10/10 from me! (also I know in my heart codywatch 2k21 is going to come through eventually. i want to believe)

this is probably one of my favorite podcasts right now. the hosts are so funny and vibe together really well. i don’t have any friends that are into star wars, so listening to it makes me feel like i’m hanging out with friends that actually understand my insane interests. their perspectives on things in the star wars universe are also so refreshing to hear.

I follow most of the cast on TikTok and I’m enjoying this podcast so much! There’s an equal mix of serious discussion and chaotic humor that keeps me listening. Keep up the good work!!
