    Fun grad school show
Suzanne and Chris balance literary conventional wisdom with first impressions and close readings. Listening, you place the book (usually a book) in its historical context, but also get a dose of skepticism and subjective literary criticism that makes you lean into the radio. Great show!

    Suzanne talks too fast
Suzanne ruins an otherwise excellent podcast by talking too fast to the point she is often unintelligible. Slow down.

Soooo much better than my office book club
This show is insightful and the book choices are so much better than the many Joe Businessman choices we are stuck with in our office book club. The books discussed here I have actually read or have always wanted to read, and have not much to do with Arts of Wars it whatever sociopath training manuals the corporate types at work pick to self gloss. Thank you for giving me a sane place to come to for great discussions about really great books.

Love the style of this podcast
I've listened to episodes 3 and 1 in that order. I absolutely love how they don't try to cover everything but dive deeply into the parts of the stories that most move them. It's clear that the hosts really love these books and do a great job in conveying that feeling to the listener.
