    was decent until…
i got deeper into the episodes and it turned into endless political diatribes. another useless podcast that can’t just watch the films and comment on the acting, story, etc. stuck on fear of anything that is not left wing. not a movie podcast it is a political struggle session.

    Great show! More Tinker Tailor!
Been loving this show for years but have to show even more support in hopes of getting episodes for the original BBC TTSS LeCarre series.

    errors misinformation
this podcast is awful full of errors, annoying host keeps saying airquotes, he is a real idiot. netflix never shipped vhs tapes, that is made up. by 1995, the commercial internet was in full swing, aol existed as did amazon, it is not worth the time, not sure the point of this pod, aimless rambling, no firm opinion air quotes on any filmornproduction, this is a lonely person with a microphone that needs a hobby or friends to interact with. don't waste your time, i am sorry that i did.

    The best
Devouring every episode and rewatching a lot of movies on the pod. Loved every minute of the Heat, 12 Angry Men with Bankrobber B & To Live and Blk JmsLA podcasts. I have a long way to catch up to all these movies and that’s a good thing. - Blk Jms

    On the fence so far…
First couple of episodes I enjoyed but the occasional gross overstatement makes me wonder is he serious or just having a goof at times? Ashley Judd brilliant in Heat?! She is awful in Heat. Her ‘rat bastard situation’ line makes me cringe every time. I’ll try a few more, there’s usually enough in a long episode for me to enjoy but I would say do more research.

    Not my style
While I can respect his minority opinion of not liking Aliens, he follows this up by enjoying Alien 3??? It feels like trolling. He’s also kind of condescending.

    Brilliant podcast
This is one of the best podcasts about movies. Excellent films, excellent discussions, excellent production.

    Thoughtful, Smart, Informative
Where other film podcasts tend to lean on snark, this one is unabashedly thoughtful, sensitive, and insightful. Jason Cilo is an engaging host with a soothing—though never sleep—delivery.

    Odd
Fundamentally, this podcaster doesn’t understand acting and certainly can’t speak about it. Repetitive, lacking insight.

I can just as easily read imdb
Initially, I thought this was an intriguing podcast. However, after listening to half a dozen episodes, I discovered it’s just a platform for arrogance, elitism, and in-show googling. And incredibly off the mark factually. Save yourself the time.

    Where is Aronofsky?
New to the Pod and have enjoyed it very much. Learned much about some of my favorites while being greatly entertained. The tail end segment I find the most joyful. Latchkey is a brilliant idea. It makes you remember your own while observing the guests feelings about shows I have no history with. I’m a Leave it to Beaver generation guy. One complaint; I know you cannot possibly get around to covering all tastes but ... I hope Darren Aronofsky is not “chopped liver” to your sensibilities. The Fountain is one of my touchstones. Also somewhat shocked that you can talk about imagining Matt Dillon as a star of westerns and not make a Gunsmoke quip.

    Pretty good except...
Would be pretty good except for the totally unnecessary liberal political bent.

Are you sure you love these movies?
I’m listening to the Wrath of Kahn episode, and this is what annoys me about most podcasts that discuss films. The host always seems so thrilled to discuss a certain film, then he and the guest spend most of the time mocking the source material (For example, talking about shooting rumors like Director Meyer shooting Spock’s death scene dressed as Sherlock Holmes, which didn’t happen yet the hosts use it an an opportunity to make fun). They discuss details of the film series and the Original series and yet, get multiple details wrong. You have the opportunity to research this before your podcast. Why not endeavor to be somewhat accurate. And no, I’m not a Star Trek purist, this has happened on multiple reviews here, not just Trek films. I’m just so disappointed that the host can’t have a few notes in front of him so he doesn’t sound clueless. Ironically enough, the podcast “How Did This Get Made?” Which DOES mock films, have hosts that actually try to find out info about the movie they discuss. They constantly refer to their notes during the podcast. And, although there are films they don’t care for, they seem to have more love for the films they watch than this podcasts hosts do. I don’t expect you to like everything, but if this is a film you are going to spend more time mocking, why do it? There are other podcasts for this. It’d be a refreshing change to hear actual discussion about a film you LOVE.

    Great convos on movie opinions
The title of my post says it all. These are ppl just enjoying films, and reminiscing at the same time. I thoroughly enjoy this.

    Hard pass
I made it 30 seconds into my first episode before the podcasters started bashing my political party and their supporters. Nope. Delete.

    What Is This?
I’m not sure what this pod this is supposed to be, and I don’t know if its hosts know either. It says it’s a series about movies, but the discussions seem to meander and stray from the film they’re supposedly reviewing. Also... are the discussions supposed to be funny or are these critical reviews of the movie being discussed? Overall, kind of bland and confusing without a real focus. You can find better and funnier pods of the same subject. I suggest finding those.

  • Not At All One Of The Hosts
    It's funny and informative!
Look, totally unbiased here but these guys are great! It's more than a podcast about movies, it veers wildly and unpredictably into all kinds of topics and digressions...and it's always loose and easy to listen too. FULL DISCLOSURE ok ok I'm one of the hosts and I'm embarassed I posted this but if you don't love your own work who will love it for you? (ed. note: the OTHER host of this hilarious podcast in no way condones this shameless attempt at self-promotion. Not gonna reveal who I am (the host with mores and morals, that is) but my name rhymes with "SHASON" and the shameless host's name rhymes with 'CHRIS').
