Dan, Pete and Aaron are a great listen for all, especially for true rugby nause. Great segments for game analysis, fun pop questions for interviewees and the least likely predictions for MLR game results that you can find on the internet - anywhere. Dan needs to shift his pop culture references back to he-man, Pete seems to at least understand that one. Aaron get these guys more fun sound bites! The “I have the power!!!!!” Match up of the week. I enjoy hearing Pete and Dan break down the previous week’s games as well as their insight to upcoming matches. It’s also interesting to hear their discussions with their guests, whether it’s the player of the week or the commissioner. It would be nice if they used their mojo to turn around the Sabercats instead of Austin. Oh well, #GiveMeAJersey

Regardless of their promotion going on, this is genuinely the best MLR podcast out there. They get the top guests and players from around the league. They breakdown previous weeks play, and preview upcoming matchups with great insight and depth. I would RUN to listen, and PASS on any another because it KICKS every other one’s butt. (Come on, now that’s a solid Run, Pass, Kick reference)

Pete, Dan and Aaron provide a great POV on MLR with access to teams and players along with great analysis week to week. Keep up the great work! And Happy Birthday, Pete!

I’ve been following the MLR since it’s inaugural season, and I haven’t always had access or time to watch the games. Listening to Pete and Dan has helped me keep in touch with the league and with rugby in a country where it’s still growing. I love hearing their banter and I feel like I’m part of the conversation. I’d love to meet these guys some day (even Aaron) and chat. Cheers.

Wow is anyone going to ever give less than 5 stars? Not me! MLR Kickoff is a world class podcast headed by Dan Powers and Pete Steinberg . Dan is that natural broadcaster when in 60 years from now you’ll be asking yourself how he’s still alive and also still the lead voice of the MLR. At least EA has it easy when deciding on title for the MLR video game, “Powers 21” Pete knows the game as well as Dan knows food and good looking men. His game analysis is bar none the best I have found in the States. Whenever Dan faints from watching too many Brad Tucker highlights I enjoy the chance Pete gets to teach me something. Truly the professor. My only request- Gents maybe we could get a little more Undisputed going on the cast? You do have have the Skip(Pete) and Shannon(Dan.. he wishes) physiques going.. I’d love to hear you two disagree for once. Lol just kidding. Keep it up!

Love the podcast, so much so that I have now listened to every single episode and am mad that I’ll need to wait to listen to another one. This pod is a must listen for anyone who loves rugby in America, rugby in general, America in general, or legendary pop-culture references (thanks Panther). As a new club player, Pete’s analysis is helping me learn the game and the strategy and makes watching matches more enjoyable. The thorough news updates and interviews with players helps me connect to the sport and find players to root for in every game, even if it’s isn’t my Freejacks or Old Glory playing. My wife wants to rate the show 0/5 because she’s tired of hearing it emanating from our shower every morning. I’ll bring her round.

This is the best podcast on the MLR. The hosts are knowledgeable, the discussion flows well, and the format allows an adequate review of each team. If you only have time to listen to one podcast before the weekend, this is the one. I would like to hear more technical discussion on team’s strategies and tactics, for example, how Old Glory’s attacking system resembles a Mitre 10 Cup team and why. Does a team use a 1-3-3-1 or a 2-4-2? Which teams use a blitz defense versus a rush & drift? Why do some teams have great scrums and others are poor? Is it personnel, techniques, or coaching?

Great to here some insider news for rugby. When and where is the final planned for 2020? Can we get some information on Tayler adams aka “tazzer” from the arrows? Seems to be the most least talked about big addition player to the league.

Great podcast! Dan and Pete do an excellent job in delivering both entertainment and game by game analysis. Perfect combination of fun and rugby know-how. Gents, could you comment on the # of penalties being called in some games and what that is doing for the league on a consumer level? Seems like quite a large number are being called, play is then often broken, and new fans aren’t getting that non stop action of rugby. Anything the league or refs could/ should do? Love to hear your opinions. Thanks!!

Great podcast. I especially like hearing the coaching aspects about the different offensive and defensive schemes that each teams use and how they will match up with opposition each week. GO GILGRONIS. Rugby nerd over and out.

Great podcast. But production does need to improve. Occasionally the editing is messed up and Pete and Dan tend to talk over each other. Other than that issue. Great job.

Get a recap of the week and a preview of the next from two of the league’s best commentators. As the official MLR podcast they are able to book amazing guests. The interviews are truly top notch, I was impressed with some hard hitting questions of coaches and league officials. I also loved learning the life stories of some of the 1st season’s top players.

I didn’t know much about rugby before MLR, but have loved listening to the analysis on this pod.

It's a fantastic recap and preview of all the matches and major storylines in the inaugural season from two of the commentators on the TV broadcasts of the games who know their stuff.
