SpringcharmAll I can say is WOW! Interview with Master Shi Heng Yi - Headmaster of the Shaolin Temple EuropeThe episode of The Diary of a CEO featuring Master Shi Heng Yi is an extraordinary conversation that dives into the heart of ancient Eastern philosophy, focusing on mastering the mind, body, and purpose in life. Master Shi Heng Yi shares profound wisdom in a way that feels both timeless and deeply relevant, offering insights on overcoming internal hurdles, cultivating discipline, and achieving clarity amidst modern-day chaos. His explanation of "The Five Hindrances" is particularly impactful, shedding light on how we can move past the mental and emotional barriers that hold us back. Steven Bartlett provides the perfect platform for this discussion, guiding the conversation with genuine curiosity and thoughtful questions. The result is a reflective and meaningful dialogue that encourages listeners to pause, absorb, and consider how these teachings might transform their own lives. I absolutely loved this deep discussion. It was not just inspiring but truly eye-opening. Master Shi Heng Yi’s grounded wisdom and serene clarity left such a strong impression on me. It sparked a personal longing to cultivate that same balance and wisdom in my own life. This episode wasn’t just something to listen to; it felt like a lesson in how to live with purpose and intention.

bcartier1181Content with tangible value.a little surprised that it took me so long to find this podcast, but i’m incredibly grateful that I have. after hearing a few newer episodes, i’ve gone back to the beginning and kind of binged. i’m someone who’s come from nothing, and later being homeless in my art studio- to even losing my studio- to then rebuilding my life and building a sales career and earning several hundred thousand per year and building a new million dollar home. the tools and knowledge shared within this show have inspired me to buildout a plan to share my redemption story. I feel like men, in particular need this kind of encouraging and useful information and support.
-
LSM912Clickbait HeadlinesI find the click bait episode titles to be incredibly disrespectful of the respective guests. They are in direct contravention of how thoughtful and insightful The interviews actually are. When that changes. I will reconsider my rating.

B H RamnaraceAn exceptional interview!Steven Bartlett’s conversation with Michelle Obama and Craig Robinson is packed with life lessons, heartfelt wisdom, and inspiring stories. I loved hearing not just Michelle’s insights but also the touching advice and memories from their humble parents and Mr. Obama earlier days. This episode is a masterclass in resilience, authenticity, empathy and grace — one of the best interviews I’ve heard. Highly recommended!

odnapeixel85Steven has a cybertruck!!!This is my newest favorite pod. That’s why I was very surprised to hear that Steven uses a cybertruck
-
InspirenovaMisinformationMusk didn't start tesla, but somehow he claims he did and shamelessly talks about his Tesla truck like its an ad. Sellout would be a huge understatement. I also cannot stand when people give false information.
-
@melodygrace____FeedbackThe recurring mention about listeners not hitting the follow button can start to feel repetitive for those who already support the show. Instead, you might consider implementing a simple, genuine thank you to your followers at the end to show appreciation. This would feel more positive and less like a reminder.

Aunti RonaLISTEN TO THIS SHOW!!So happy that my college age son introduced me to this show. I was put off by the title, ugh not another Warren Buffet wannabe show (sorry Warren) Boy was I wrong!! Amazing guests and topics across the spectrum that are helping me and my kids to be better people in the world. I’m so grateful to Steven and his team for their researched, thoughtful and thought provoking episodes which I continue to pass on to many people.
-
howards83This show will change your life!Honestly can’t overstate how much deep, useful info I’ve gained from listening to Steven’s interviews. His guests bring so, so much knowledge and he gives them ample room to go deep into their topic of expertise. There is so much to learn! One of the best podcasts and interviewers, hands down. A must watch!

PineappleQueen1313Wow!! What an informative and educational podI found this podcast through a clip on TikTok episode with Neuroscientist Lisa Feldman Barrett and it was so eye opening and informative. I am an instant fan!
-
juliasnyderddsAmazing Podcast!Always captivating, always relevant. This podcast has truly impacted my life in so many ways. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
-
President record companyTalking over guestsI enjoyed this podcast, but the constant talking over and interrupting rather than listening to what the guest had to say was extremely frustrating in “Emergency debate: they lied about the economy recovering! Is financial apocalypse coming if?”
-
MyFeedback2USolid programming, usually.Enjoy this podcast 90% of the time, the other 10% is filler, with low-rent guests like Mike Dowd. Hearing a crooked cop talk about being a crooked cop does little for society, except dislike cops and question the value of giving him air-time. Don’t get lazy, programming wise. Keep the content helpful, not dark and low-rent.

Kcoke4Masculinity DebateWow, what an excellent episode! This is so insightful for everyone to listen to. Whether you are dating, been married for 20 years or have children in your life. I really learned so much from each perspective. Thank you!

MCGC69Love the podcastSteven, your podcast is outstanding. I love how you don’t care how long would it take to drive your message. Your audience is here to learn and be stimulated by your opinions and your guests opinions. I believe you are a good person working to bring good to your audience. The podcast with the Harvard MD about hormones and nutrition was fine. I disliked the emphasis on glucose monitors. The average Joe, who is obese and has terrible eating habits CANNOT afford a glucose monitor. Therefore, it is elitist to advocate it as a great way to monitor what food/carbs does to your glucose. I would challenge her to bring science to the average person and improve public health by adopting global facts and then personalize advice. It is not us with the means to do everything in our power, it is for those who cannot afford but eating can food and fast food that we need to bring solutions. This is our contribution to society if we want to preserve it.

GenxhousecleanerCivil discussions only pleaseI love this podcast! It gives me something to think about while I’m cooking and cleaning! I listen to it regularly. The Emergency Debate episode on March 20th was an anomaly. It was terrible and I couldn’t finish listening as one guest berated and interrupted the other. I would much preferred if you have one of the guests on one week and the following guest on the next week. Then we could come to our own conclusions. I want to enjoy my time listening, have some peace to analyze the information. I don’t want to be stressed out hearing people interact in ways I would never tolerate of my family or friends or colleagues.

Cable guy25So hard to put this show downI find myself searching out opportunities to pop my AirPod in and listen to this show. I feel like I’m being entertained into being a better, more thoughtful human.

VanOld1Best podcast!I learn so much from this podcast. Thank you!!

MusicDude70Some Great Guests, but……host has a bit of TDS bias, and a few of his guests are narrative manipulators. (I.E.- Notably YNH, who is a thought leader for the WHO.) YMMV. I used to listen to you daily, Mr. Bartlett.
-
Megan Flodiverse viewpoints, refreshing perspectives.Love the show. Great guests and appreciate that it’s not super politically polarizing. Steven does a good job at bringing himself and also staying out of the way. I like these debates…and Steven you need to do more moderating. Gary is terrible. All he does is interrupt, he has NO valid solutions and keeps saying “our viewers can’t feed their kids”. As a viewer I’m offended, Gary’s thinking is destroying the world - no solutions, too much talking, NO listening. No personal responsibility - people aren’t helpless, work hard and improve your life. Simple. Ok with different view points but PLEASE keep him in a lane if you keep doing debates. Props to Daniel for staying calm, speaking facts and real SOLUTIONS
-
SammyjoexSammyI’m really enjoying the podcasts. Thanks Steven.
-
La29adQuestionI admittedly stay away from the health-centered episodes. I read the BBC article, and DOAC’s response but I wonder if with such a big platform it’s better to have information fact checked over prioritizing guests freedom of expression.

Victoria’s StuffBuilding better humans. One of the top casting directors in voiceover recommended this to me and boy was she right on the money. If you listen, put things into practice and think deeply about what you’re hearing, you will absolutely level up. By the way, the episode on orgasms is kind of life-changing.

KatSeatGlobal Learning & Development LeaderHi Steven, I hope this message finds you well. I'm a longtime admirer of your work and the impact The Diary of a CEO has had on leadership conversations around the world. Your ability to cut through the noise and explore the real drivers of human behavior and business success is powerful — and refreshing. I recently attended a transformational 3-day workshop with The Arbinger Institute on Outward Leadership, and it fundamentally reshaped the way I think about leadership, conflict, and sustainable change. Arbinger’s approach is unlike anything I’ve encountered in over a decade of leading teams across regions, transformations, and cultural contexts. Their core idea is deceptively simple: real change doesn’t start by trying to fix others — it starts with the mindset I carry into my interactions. The shift from an “inward mindset” (seeing people as obstacles or tools) to an “outward mindset” (seeing people as people) sounds soft on the surface — but the practical implications for leaders, teams, and organizations are profound. Given your curiosity about what makes great leadership truly human and your interest in mindset and behavioral transformation, I genuinely believe the Arbinger message would resonate deeply with your audience. Their work aligns beautifully with themes you’ve explored with guests like Simon Sinek, Mo Gawdat, and James Clear — but with a unique focus on how we see others as the foundation for all influence and impact. If you’ve not yet come across Arbinger’s work, I’d be happy to share more — or even connect you with someone from their team. They are the best-kept secret in leadership transformation, and I’d love to see their message amplified through your powerful platform. With appreciation, Katja Seaton Global Learning & Development Leader | Passionate about Purposeful Leadership

Beth TaskaEmergency Debate!!!I usually like this podcast, but this episode was awful. A rich bully (so proud of himself for making money on other peoples work) not checked. Stephen needs to moderate … could not continue listening. Flies in the face of most episodes encouraging civility and personal growth.

LOKA Beauty StudioExcellent topicsI look forward to my time in my car so I can listen to this incredibly interesting podcast! I love to learn about new things. Thank You for the great content!
-
audrey123454321Calm, informative, and entertaining!Interesting guests, that are well spoken, thoughtful, insightful, and never feel like there is some underlying spin to an episode. Thought provoking questions and great production quality as well!

isioma!I am a better person because of this podcast.Look, this is the best podcast on the market right now. However, it is for the most inquisitive humans in our society. The ones who strive to be better mentally, physically, emotionally and financially. This podcast is for the students of life who love learning and growing. I thoroughly enjoy that Steven allows these podcasts to run for as long as the conversation is flowing!! I love that he leaves no question on the table and he asks the questions we are wondering. Thank you for this podcast Steven. Not only have I learned an immense amount of information, I am a better person because of the work you do.

BriSeeleyDisappointed. It’s disappointing to see how a platform like this elevates certain voices, and not others. Looking back, on average, one out of every seven interviews is a woman. And, they’re all addressing things like psychology, health, inner personal and relationship topics. Where are all the women speaking to business and wealth?!? I can’t take this podcast seriously if they remain committed to perpetuating this stereotype. It’s 2025. Do better.
-
AliciaKraskoEvery episode is a great listen!I typically find myself listening to shorter podcasts (an hour or less, because I’m a wife, mom, and a business owner), HOWEVER, DOAC is an exception. I will listen to every episode. Even if it takes me a few days. Steven is an incredible interviewer and asks such great questions. He’s always prepared for the episode and has great guests. You’ll learn something from every episode-even if it’s not one you’re “excited” to listen to.
-
@MihifilifeFabulous and InsightfulThank you for this podcast. Fascinating guests and insightful and relevant conversations. I love the conversation cards also.
-
Wheatbread101One of my favorite podcast showsI regularly listen to this show. He has a wide variety of guests and the topics are very interesting. Episodes are long, but I appreciate that since they can go in depth more. Steven does a good job of being pragmatic and also vulnerable at times.
-
pam sa.Incredible host and guests!I’ve gotten more out of this podcast than all other podcasts I listen to combined. Steven is a talented host and interviewer. Thank you for making this library of knowledge accessible.
-
C0urtSupremeErica Kamisar is a QuackShe stumps for Prager U say no more. Toxic cherry picked statistics. Do kids need their mothers? Yes. Do you need to listen to this drivel, no.
-
Erin AbbottCritical thinking skills are mandatoryThe podcast was suggested to me because of the Trevor Noah interview. Which was phenomenal. But it’s getting a little “red pill” esque lately. I have started to fast forward a lot. Steven is a well developed communicator and interviewer but I’m proceeding with caution.

FrannieNanceOne of the best interviewers in podcastingSteven is one of the best interviewers I’ve ever listened to. He has a remarkable ability to let his guests speak while asking the right questions to draw out deep, insightful, and often unexpected perspectives. His thoughtfulness is evident in every episode, and it’s clear he puts immense time and effort into the production of the show. Diary of a CEO is never a waste of time—every episode is engaging, meaningful, and absolutely worth the listen. Highly recommend!

Lowa bugTop 5The tone of this podcast is positive, soothing and inspiring. Always uplifting. Thank you for your choice of guests and questions .

Zrobz93Gross headlinesI would probably probably listen more, but the titles are just too gross and click baity. I think it’s for a younger audience or something .
-
Austin the catShocking of his fear to challenge guests, even when insaneStumbled upon this podcast listen to the Ayn Rand following millionaire lady and then the Weinstein interview. Shocked that this host would not even challenge him no matter how outrageous the statements were. So climate change is a hoax because we don’t see any academic papers against it, which means that The academic papers must be suppressed. That would otherwise be against it. What bizarre circular reasoning. I guess then claimed Anthony Fauci is americas number one weapons manufacturer and was working with the Chinese on the Covid weapon, but has no explanation why the top American government weapons maker would be working with the Chinese communist party.l

TFitch44Top PodcastI found this podcast by accident and have been an avid listener ever since. For sure buy his book, The Diary Of A CEO. Priceless. Thank you for sharing your vast knowledge and excellent interview skills.

Jo’sRosesLove for DOAC & StevenFantastic podcast with great interviews. I love Steven because he is skilled, balanced, genuine, knowledgeable, at ease & humorous in his interviewing. Allows the guest to take the spotlight so that listeners get the most out of each episode. Thank you for your great work!!

BeccaB56For the SuccessfulThis podcast is for anyone who wants to be successful without all the extra garbage. Steven is sincere, a word that means “without wax” from when a sculptor finishes a piece, he can say it’s “sincere” so there aren’t any broken parts, it’s all one complete masterpiece. I’m glad the algorithm introduced me to him and his content.
