I’m not as big of an anime person as my friends but I always enjoy when they talk about it because of how excited they are. And I’m glad that excitement is provided in an audio format by these wonderful weirdos 😂 big booty fan here love the show keep it up

An awesome podcast to listen to that talks about anime.

Good morning/Goodnight/Good afternoon! I’m a new listener! And after seeing so many good comments I’m excited to listen to these podcasts! I’ve been recently looking for a new podcast to listen too! ((Note: I only choose three stars because I didn’t listen yet!))

I love listening to this podcast! It helps me stay up to date on what is happening in the anime space. And it feels like I’m hanging out with friends.

I listen to a lot of anime podcasts but keep coming back to this one the most. The best part of it is that the hosts have obvious real chemistry with each other, something that can sometimes feel forced on some other pods. Each of the main hosts seem to mostly have widely differing tastes too which keeps it from getting stale. I would never have thought I'd be getting a recommendation for Ping Pong, Yaoi Mushi Pedal and a robot show from the 80s from the same podcast.

The dichotomy amongst this team is amazing! Som’s newscasts are quick, concise, and SUPER informative! They are my absolute favorite part. When him, Nick, and Dani get together it’s no less enjoyable, though. The Discord is one of the most welcoming communities I have ever experienced (especially with the notorious gatekeeping of the anime community). There is nothing but open arms and listening ears and FANTASTIC conversations to be had on the Discord. I LOVE THESE PEOPLE!

I always listen to the podcasts when I go for a walk and it makes my walk so much more enjoyable!

Found this podcast in July when I was looking for something to listen to other than music at work. All of the other anime podcasts I found were super bland but the dynamic these group of friends has makes everything from seasonal to their decade spotlights a blast!! Also Nick and Dannie’s episode is definitely my favorite!! -PacmanStones

I get that you guys like anime but please explain why it is good, all of the big eyes and things so why with the crappy cartoons?

I used to really like this show a lot especially the newscast. It would talk about a lot of things going on in the Anime community and things to look forward to. Recently though it seems like they talk a lot about LGBTQ things in every show and for a long time. I have no problem with LGBTQ but I don’t want to hear about it all the time. At least include it in the description so I can skip that episode. Maybe start another podcast focusing on that? I wish they would go back to their early format.

This group has obvious chemistry and definitely are good friends, being able to talk crap to each other and still continue on chatting Anime is proof of that. I particularly enjoy the levity they bring each an every episode and the running jokes as well, Madhouse in the middle of the street, etc etc.. Highly recommend giving them a listen, Im personally a fan, trust me im an anime podcaster ;-P

I found this podcast while looking for something to listen to while at work. I went through a couple other shows before I found you guys, but something about this group of friends really stuck out to me. I love the dynamic Nick, Dannie and Som have together. They all bring their unique perspectives and strengths to the table and it makes for a great mix. It’s always interesting to hear their takes on shows, especially if I don’t agree with them. They always back up their opinions and make it easy to understand where they’re coming from. It helps that they’re hilarious together too. I’ve definitely had to cover my face at my desk and pause the show to chill myself out and stop laughing. I’ve even been going through the old backlog of episodes. Mac and Qwoka are great too, but I really dig what the show has going on now. Thanks for keeping me entertained! Also bless Nick for always bringing up School days. Ten outta ten.

When I first got into anime a few years ago, I wanted a podcast to help me stay updated on the best shows and latest news. It was tough to find one that was consistent, well produced, and actually entertaining! (So many anime podcasts have crappy audio quality or extremely dry, antisocial, elitist hosts). But along came Anime Summit to dominate every criteria and standout among the crowd. I’ve been an avid listener for over a year now. Each week the hosts kill me with their witty sense of humor and inform me with their valuable insights into anime. I love the chemistry between Nick, Som, and Dannie. Their conversations are extremely entertaining, and each of them possess different enough tastes that the podcast can cover a wide variety of different genres and topics. This is the type of show where the hosts feel like your friends and the conversations are never dull. If you love anime, you’re doing yourself a huge disservice by not tuning into Anime Summit every week for the rest of eternity. Also the Cinnamontography is top 3 top 5. - SCRAWNY

I love how they say the funniest things about anime. My favorite characters would be Quoka, Dannie, and nick. 😊 sincerely a crazy otaku.

I’m writing this right after listening to the opening of this podcast. Hose shower heads... that was it I was cracking up so hard especially about the Dani bit. You guys are funny all together but you get your anime points across also thank you.

I needed something to listen to on a road trip from Michigan to California because music alone wasn't going to be enough for 32 hrs of driving. This podcast exceeded my expecations and played for at least 1/3 of the trip. The personalities of the hosts mesh well and I found the anime topics to be a secondary reason to listen. Y'all deserve more listeners!!!!

Love to listen to these dudes talk about anime. Even tho there opinions may differ than mine it’s still enjoyable to here what other people think about a show. (Cough cough darling in the franxx) great to listen to while doing homework but most of the time I practice guitar while listening to them. Only problem I find with the podcast is I listen to it more than I watch anime. Now I guess to have some fun I’ll describe the hosts using emojis. I started a new job about 6 months ago and needed an anime podcast so I started listening to you guy. I love the rapport and relationships you guys have with each other. I also really enjoy the weekly topics you guys do. I love Nick but the only thing that annoys me is how much he interrupts Som and Dani when they are explaining something.

It's a great podcast! Love watching the love story of Dannie and Nick Unfold. The last two episodes they haven't been on together :( I wonder if Nick and Dannie had a fight. If they did i'm sure i wasn't Nick's falt. #NeverWrongNick Stay Awesome Som and Kwoka.

Hey guys l, I really enjoy the podcast one of the few anime ones that aren’t cringe all the time. I do enjoy your direction and conversations most of the time and like to here your insight on thing. My only real gripe is that I find Dani to be annoying most of the time and very rarely contributes to the conversation in the same ways as the rest of the group, same with kouga as he interrupts or derails the conversation every so often. Especially if he dislikes something. Anyway still love the podcast keep up the good work!

Finally got around to making an itunes account just to review this podcast. Great podcast, super funny, always good discusions. Also thank u nick for declaring evangelion as the best anime all time, but Dannie how dare u watch eva without watching the end of evangelion this is just insane.

Amazing podcast. If you want a podcast with a solid balance of seasonal and already aired anime this is the place to go. They’re funny and this show has gone a long way. The hosts disagree about shows a lot but I love that because it allows me to hear different perspectives on various anime. Cool stuff here. Very cool. Cooler than cool. Now have to decide wether to watch School Days or not. Side note: show got better when Dannie joined the crew! She adds a fresh perspective!

Out of all the anime podcasts i listen to these guys make me laugh the most. I usually listen to them while driving to and from work. Im surprised im still alive because these guys especially Som have made me laugh so hard that i could see the road. Their anime reviews are down to earth and not hyper critical like other people. So i found this podcast about a month and a half ago and loved it. I started with the first show and couldn't stop. They have a great group dynamic and it is really interesting to hear all their view points. Som your love of Martian Successor made me remember how much me and my brother loved that show growing up and i am currently rewatching it. Keep up the great work. If you all get the chance would love ot hear your rankings of the different gundam shows!!

I mean, The Weebcast is good to listen to every three months when you want to know which shows in the season are good, but these guys are seriously entertaining. Any other anime podcast just lulls me to sleep. Every member of Anime Summit, with there own distinct personalities and traits, mesh together for an enjoyable and entertaining podcast for one hour every week. Keep it up guys, you all are great! p.s. Hey Mac, it's awesome to hear a fellow Euphonium player in this podcast!

Finally all the other podcasts were dull as crap. They had no personality.... This one has an abundance of it and individuality and the arguing is just freaking hilarious.

This is the Naruto of anime podcasts or maybe even the Sword Art Online of them. The show has some interesting ideas and concepts, but similar to the Naruto or SAO series themselves, this podcast is limited by the hosts who created it. There are a number of inconsistencies in presentation, double standards, and a lack of balance between the hosts in terms of contributing to discussion. This becomes apparent the more you listen to the episodes. All too often the coverage on topics feels shallow and underesearched. All of the above reasons make it feel like this podcast isn't living up to it's potential. Anime Summit is good as a gateway podcast and it deserves credit for that. If you really want to increase the depth of your knowledge, get a wider range of coverage in anime, and listen to people who really know the nuts and bolts of the anime industry and Japan there are better podcasts and personalities to listen to.

I'd rate this an Oreo, a hilarious podcast that doesn't take itself to seriously. A lot of different personalities, som is great and "shut up matt." Lol

The 1st podcast I listen to every week. So entertaining with a great blend of personalities.

Was looking for an anime podcast to listen to and found Anime Summit. The group of guys are a ball to listen to and provide good honest opinions on current anime. Hope there are more "fan" guest episodes in the future. Thank you for the great podcast.

I found you guys and man sometimes you are so hilarious I have to stop my hike because I am bursting laughter. Your show is handsdown the best and I look forward to every one. I am admittedly a casual anime fan, and yet I still love this show. They all do a great job bringing valid insights on anime, and the breadth of preferences and opinions that the host have really ensure that there's always going to be something fun and interesting for everyone, and the natural friendship that they have makes for an entertaining podcast. I give it a nadesico out of Nabisco, a deep cerulean on the pink to blue scale, a double stuff oreo, or a 5/5. I recommend to everyone.

Always get a good laugh out of these guys. Really fun to listen to. Great show!
