CookFamilyResourcesAmber is a gemIt’s rare to find such a comprehensive lens to navigate burnout through but Amber cares so deeply about helping EVERYONE find a path out of burnout, no matter where they are on the path. This podcast pairs so well with her book.

hope4jacksonVeteran teacher inspiredI have been a public educator since 1992. I have experienced ups and downs over the years. The Burned In teacher podcast reminds me to get out of my own way. scbolinAmazing educator!I’ve been listening to Amber’s podcast for the past couple of years and her words of wisdom and tools have helped me so much! I always end each episode thinking about strategies or mindset shifts to recover and stay out of burnout. I have a lot of podcasts I follow, but hers is the only one that I am sure to listen to weekly, as I feel like I’m listening to a friend who’s full of such wisdom and would love to teach with her! Amber is so vulnerable, authentic and relatable as she teaches in a primary classroom (as I do too). I have also read her book “Hacking Teacher Burnout” twice, the second time to do the book study during the Summer podcasts and use her study guide. I’m so thankful to have found Amber’s podcast and her inspiration!

sarahdee44Life changing!I’m not kidding with my title- Amber’s podcast has helped me so so much! I’m 10 years into my teaching career and this past year I had such terrible burnout. My principal even suggested I take time off teaching to recover, but that just wasn’t what I wanted (or what I could afford). I found Amber’s podcast when searching for podcasts about teacher burnout. As soon as I started listening, it felt like being wrapped in a great big hug of support and understanding! I can’t recommend her podcast (and her book!) enough. I’ve listened to so many episodes now and it’s already helped my mindset and mental health so much! Thank you, Amber!

Tonya Texas TeacherLoving Burned In TeacherI’ve been listening about 1 1/2 years. I was in a stupper & really burned out & burned into the ground. A story for another time but this podcast helped me stop feeling sorry for myself. I looked at the things I could change & made me dig deep within myself to decide if I had that drive anymore. It’s a constant struggle but the topics Amber presents are some I wondered about, needed information on, & some I didn’t even consider. Thank you so much for sharing this out with the world Amber!! Anyone questioning their decision to teach can be empowered with information from the podcast to make that change for themselves. You will take away something from each episode. Enjoy & discover along with the rest of us.

I’ve also left teaching a few times but always come back. I had many burnouts over 35 years and wish I’d found this sooner. Ever teacher needs to listen. It really helps.

Living on HopeTake what you needI found Amber and her podcast/book/program at the exact right time in my life. I was at a crossroads in my career where I just wasn’t feeling it anymore- but I wasn’t ready to leave teaching. I was bogged down by all the negativity, lack of boundaries, and resentment I felt from a position change. Amber helped pull me out of that. She taught me that, in order to change for the better professionally, I had to look in the mirror and change some things personally. Now, thanks to her help setting boundaries, gaining clarity, and gaining resilience to the negativity around teaching, I am thriving. Every day is still a conscious effort to be better and do better. But she has given me the tools I need to make this career I love be sustainable.

bcswilhelmsBurned out to burned inWhen I first started teaching 6 years ago, I started looking for podcasts that would inspire me in the classroom. When I came across Burned In Teacher I listens to a few episodes and stopped listening because I didn’t think I was experiencing burn out at all and I didn’t want to listen. Now that I have gone through teaching during COVID, unappreciative admin, school change and grade level change I realized that I had been going through burn out since my 3rd year of teaching. Now that I’ve realized it and named it, I’ve started listening again everyday and it has helped reinvigorate my love for teaching. Thank you Amber!

saral22Much needed optimism in a sea of negativityIt’s so easy to get sucked into the negative miserable teacher algorithm on social media. While it can be nice to commiserate at times, it is ultimately unhelpful for educators that don’t plan on changing careers. This podcast really motivates and inspires me to be the best teacher I can be while upholding boundaries that sustain this career.

BwbasingerAbsolutely love this podcast!I bought Amber’s book and course, and now I am making my way through her podcast. Teaching during COVID made me consider leaving the profession, but using Amber’s system has allowed me to battle back and fall in love with my job again. The ideas are actionable and I love her interviews with teachers who were burned out but used her system to battle their way back. Love this podcast!

Amy MattLoving Teaching AgainI am so happy that I found the BIT podcast. I am falling back in love with teaching and not feeling as overwhelmed with the daily tasks both in and out of school. I am actually ahead of the game for the upcoming year due to strategies that I have learned through this podcast and university! This is a great resource for new teachers who can start solid systems now and for us veteran teachers, a way for us to remember why we do what we do… and not allow us to just be living for our summers! Thanks, Amber ❤️

Paula Ragle BrazellWho Knew Co-Workers Are Intimidated By My Strengths!Wonderful conversation, insight, and resources for me to explore how to communicate better with my fellow teachers and administrators. I had no idea they could be intimidated by my strengths. I know that I can come across as ’bossy’ or passionate when it comes to helping my students. I want the people around me to act ’now’ because 180 days is not enough time to makea change. I am not the type of person to sit back a wait for a compromise, but education moves slowly. Now, I need to work on asking the right questions! Burned-In Teacher always challenges me to get better and to get busy getting better as a teacher! Thank you, Amber!
