One thing I enjoy about this show’s format is that between the 3 hosts they can offer different perspectives and even when they have ideas that differ, they take the time to appreciate what the others have to offer. There is much to learn [and always something new] and this is a great place to come to expand my knowledge.

MacGeekGab is hands down my favorite podcast. I look forward to it every week because it’s not only incredibly informative but also funny and engaging—exactly what I need to brighten my days. Dave, Adam, and Pete are a fantastic trio. Their deep knowledge and ability to present complex tech topics in an accessible and entertaining way keep me coming back for more. Over the years, I’ve learned a great deal from their tips, tricks, and insights. As an avid listener of MGG for over 7 years, I never miss an episode, and it's always the first thing I listen to every Monday morning on my drive into the office. I'll then often finish the show up once I'm IN my office, and undoubtedly someone will walk in and ask "What show is that?? I need to subscribe!!", because it's that good and that chock-full of amazing info week after week. MGG consistently delivers. The banter between Dave, Pete and Adam is engaging and entertaining, and you always walk away with another nugget of Mac or iPhone knowledge that makes you think “That’s awesome!”

Was family-friendly, could listen to in the car with my kids…until all of a sudden there’s multiple instances of vulgar language without warning from some random guest. Yeah, no, I’m gone.

I’ve been a listener for a number of years and this remains my favorite podcast. The crew gives great tips and content without the pontification you see in other 'casts. Listening feels more like hanging out talking tech with friends than a listening to content. MGG also has the best Discord server out there!

The AI episode pictures are troubling. I would rather see a human paid to make these images.

Why two stars? Because I am a premium subscriber but contribute directly. I am constantly badgered to subscribe to premium via the podcast app and taunted with shows to witch I cannot listen. I also cannot hide the subscription request despite being a subscriber.

I'm a Unix guy from the early 80's amd only got into Macs when they switched to Intel. Even then, I was still much more involved with Unix and Linux than Mac. I didn't even buy an iPhone until Series 5! I'm much more in the Apple ecosystem now - watch, phone, Mac, HomePod, Apple TV. I know my way around quite well (I worked retail sales at an Apple store from 2015 until COVID) but there is still plenty that I do not know and this show often fills in gaps for me. Yes, sometimes I get annoyed when one of them will say something incorrect that they could have avoided by a quick visit to Apple.com, but overall, I like the show and although I listen sporadically to many other podcasts, this is the one I do not miss. It has definitely become my favorite. John is gone, but Pilot Pete often asks questions that ordinary users might, adding a LOT to the show and Dave is always knowledgeable and fun. I realized this recent;y: MGG is the only podcast I *deliberately* listen to. That is, come Monday or Tuesday, I find it in Overcast and play it. I listen to dozens of other podcasts, but they are just in my Overcast and they play when I’m driving; I don’t seek them out.

One of the highlights of my week is listening to the Mac Geek Gab - Over the 18 years, John, Dave, and Pilot Pete answer all your questions related to Apple products and services. They also show you cool stuff found, and tips and tricks. This is the first podcast I ever downloaded (way back in 2006), and haven’t missed an episode! I strongly encourage you to check them out - they are the best!

I’ve been listening to this podcast now for close to a year. I have learned so much from the various episodes. If you are into Apple Mac computers this is a must on your lists of podcasts to subscribe to. He’s taken the time to respond to my request for guidance on whether to purchase a NAS or. SSD external hard drive for my Time Machine back up. Dave Hamilton has really helped me with his recommendations. If I could I’d give this a 10 rating for the wealth of knowledge I’ve gotten from listening to this podcast.

I do not write reviews. However, this time I felt like I needed to. This Podcast is one of the best I have listened to in very long time. Dave and Pete always strive for the listeners (and sometimes themselves) to learn 5 new things on each show. I didn’t think that was possible but so far they have succeeded! Over the course of the past few shows, I have learned something I didn’t think I would from this podcast. It was not just all things Mac. It was a combination of taking AppleScripts and other ideas to solve for a problem my friend had. Both Dave

I know the goal is to learn at least 5 things. Some times I learn more some times I learn less but I am always learning. The show is fun and the things I learn, I put in to practice shortly after I hear them, some times during the show.

This podcast is a great example of what a podcast community can be. They are knowledgable and well-versed in all things tech and Apple. Their willingness to share and help others is evident and profound throughout the show. This show feels like a weekly get-together of a bunch of friends talking geek. Their live shows and integration of the live chat only serve to further this feeling. Dave’s never ending endeavor to explain the why and how provide for a thorough and in-depth understanding of any issue. Pilot Pete’s questions and rabbit holes are endless entertainment and value for the less tech savvy. Beyond what you get from listening to their podcasts I have received direct help from Dave and pete multiple times through their email support. This is the only podcast I truly look forward to hearing the latest episode every week.

These guys are great at sharing what they know in a way that easily approachable. Even better, they're always learning from each other and listeners. The vibe reminds me of a workshop or user group with the goal of getting more out of Apple and related technology. Educational, entertaining, positive and friendly. I wish there were more of this kind of podcast for everything.

Excellent format and positive presentation

No one person can know all of the in’s-and-out’s of every Apple product, but when you have three passionate experts; you always learn something new. As an Apple IT professional, I find their show timely and invaluable to my business. I highly recommend every Apple product owner listen to Mac Geek Gab.

Good morning gentlemen, first time listening to Your show and I want to say it’s now part of my rotation! Heard about you from the Jordan Harbinger show. I could not find a way to write the show from the podcast, there was no way or link or email address. Hopefully this finds you for the next episode. I’ve and having an issue with my TV, maybe not a Mac problem well it’s not, but maybe somebody has a solution since I have searched all over the place and could not find one. My wife and I have sling TV as one of our apps on a smart TV. Every time we turn on the TV it immediately goes to sling, and when we exit out of sling to try to go to a different app it always reboots sling and it’s very frustrating, any tips? Thanks guys excited for the next episode and will be binging on your previous. John

I’ve listened to this podcast for many years, and it is still one of my favorites. I’ve learned a lot from it. However, it seems that in the last few months to a year, they’ve added a LOT of ads. I understand you need to make money, and I understand you can become a premium member to make it ad-free. However, if you don’t wish to do this, you will find yourself fast-forwarding several times in the show, which is annoying (especially since the advertisers are no longer “Mac centric”).

Listened for at least a decade to this podcast - so that tells you something….it’s the only tech podcast I listen to and I listen for the knowledge learned and also just for John and Dave (and sometimes Pilot Pete). Of course I learn many new things (hopefully five a show) but also it’s entertaining

Great show you guys and congratulations on 900 episodes! This show is tied for first as my top rated Apple focused Podcast. Love learning five new things each time I listen. Formally requesting a video podcast though. I know there’s a Mac Geek Gab YouTube channel (I think) but a video version would be awesome and probably push you over the top.

Not only do Dave and John know their stuff, they present it in a format that makes it fun and informative without being a tech fest. No droning on with inside terminology that only a nerd would understand makes this a good listen without being a boring basic information podcast. They have helped me in many ways.

One of my favorite podcasts, I love the topics they cover and the deep dives. Very helpful info! Only reason I’m dropping the rating to 4 stars is the amount of sponsors is getting high (thankfully the ads are skippable) and it’s annoying to hear them fumble though technical difficulties while recording which keep happening lately. Like once in a while is fine but when there are multiple interruptions in an episode just edit it out!

I have been listening to MacGeekGab for many years and do occasionally listen to other Apple podcasts. There is no comparison. Dave and John (and occasionally Pilot Pete) provide clearly explained answers to questions re Apple technology and 3rd party infrastructure supporting Apple technology. They are knowledgeable geeks with an ability to communicate to both other geeks and to non techies. They serve as collectors (from their own experience and from listeners )and communicators of "cool things found" and "quick tip" The show notes they provide for each weeks podcast are clear and accurate. Keep up the good work guys, looking forward to many more years of the same!

I have been listening for many years and I still enjoy these podcasts. Great tech info. Enjoyable format. Just don’t try so hard to set up each other’s responses to the listeners’ questions. Update: It's now almost 5 years later and I'm still enjoying the show and trying to learn and remember 5 new things each episode . Yet another update: Dave and John are still keeping it upbeat, interestin, and relevant during this time of sheltering-in-place and the gradual move towards normalicy.
